One of the Art Nouveau
showcases and major attractions of
Prague, the Municipal House was built
between 1905 and 1911 according to the
general plans of Antonin Balšanek, but
with assistance and cooperation of the
best architects, sculptors and painters
of the time. The building,
covering an area of 4200 square meters,
with four floors, is a veritable
encyclopedia of Art Nouveau elements. |
