Gravitons

The particles called gravitons are theorized to carry the binding power of the gravitational force.

Gravity is powerful enough to warp space [spacetime].

But what is gravity?

Black holes, gravitons, and the hypothesis that there are extra dimensions to explain how gravity, though all pervasive, is apparently weaker than the other universal electromagnetic and the nuclear forces.

String theory has profoundly influenced our understanding of gravity, cosmology, and particle physics. Gravitational attraction is accounted for by "the basic theoretical and mathematical ideas, including the string-theoretic origin of gravity, the theory of extra dimensions of space, the connection between strings and black holes, and the "landscape" of string theory."
