Budapest: Holocaust Memorial

The Holocaust Memorial, located in the yard adjacent to the Great Synagogue, commemorates 600,000 Hungarian Jews killed by the Nazis in World War II. The memorial, conceived as a weeping willow with leaves bearing the names of the victims, was designed by Imre Varga and unveiled in 1991.
