Environmental Activism |
|
This course analyzes environmental politics in the United States. Targeting an array of case studies such as climate change, air and water pollution, endangered species protection, energy consumption, garbage disposal, and suburban sprawl, we ask both why environmental problems develop and how they might be solved. We will study governmental as well as non-governmental actors , and examine how both institutions and the political process more generally alternatively foster and frustrate environmental activism. |
