History, currently defined as: the methodical narrative of events, a branch of knowledge dealing with inquiries about the distant past.

[ Greek. a learning by inquiry, knowledge, a narrative, from eidenai,; to know. ] (1937)

Narration; the relation of facts or events.

A written or oral narrative.

A systematic narrative of events and circumstances relating to the human social or civic conditions.

The account of the progress of a nation, institutions, or any phase of human thought or action.

A record of events arranged according to succession in time
to record, relate or chronicle the existence of people in the past.


If a structure in America is older than 50 years of age it is eligible to be listed as it passes one requirement in determining its value to place any structure, construction, or building on the National Register of Historic places.

 

A systematic inquiry into the people, ideas & institutions that existed in the distant past.
